Booking Terms and Conditions

1. Making Your Booking

When you book the Property with us you should return the completed Booking Form together with proof of payment for the Initial Deposit. Your booking is made as a consumer for the purpose of a private event — no liability can be accepted for any business losses suffered during your stay.

Once the completed Booking Form and Initial Deposit have been received and accepted, we will issue written confirmation via email. The contract is formed only once we send written confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse any booking prior to confirmation — in such case the Initial Deposit will be refundable.

2. Paying for Your Booking

The Initial Deposit is due at time of booking. The remaining balance is due 60 days before your event date. Exact payment schedule will be specified in your booking confirmation. All prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

3. Cancellations by Us

The Initial Deposit is non-refundable. If it is impossible for your group to complete your booking due to local travel restrictions, we can offer a rebooking service for alternative dates. If we must cancel due to circumstances beyond our control, we will refund the balance of any money paid.

4. Your Accommodation

Check-in is from 15:00 on your arrival date. Check-out by 12:00 on your departure date. Failure to arrive by midday the day after the Arrival Date without notification may be treated as a cancellation with no refund.

Young children must not be left unsupervised at any time. Do not swim in the moat under the influence of alcohol.

5. Event Information

All events must remain within the boundaries of the island. Fire pits must be managed responsibly. Noise levels in open spaces must be reduced between 02:00 and 08:00. The Tower and enclosed spaces are exempt from noise restrictions.

6. Kitchen Use

The professional kitchen is included in the rental but may only be used by our exclusive catering partners. All catering services must be communicated to us in advance.

7. Wedding Planners

Use of our approved wedding planners is mandatory. Any alternative planner must be approved by us in writing. Wedding planners are responsible for coordinating with our staff and adhering to all site regulations. Any damage caused by third-party suppliers managed by the planner remains your responsibility.

8. Damage and Liability

You are responsible for any damage caused to the property by your guests or suppliers during your event. A damage deposit may be required at time of booking. Fort Vuren B.V. accepts no liability for personal injury or loss of property during your stay, except where required by Dutch law.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.
